CVE-2024-12253 is a vulnerability affecting the Simple Ecommerce Shopping Cart Plugin's Paypal integration for WordPress. The issue lies in the lack of capability checks for the 'save_settings', 'export_csv', and 'simpleecommcart-action' actions in all versions up to 3.1.2. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to modify plugin settings and obtain order and log data. Unauthenticated users can also access the order and log data.
