Summary
CVE-2024-12240 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.31.0, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the row label parameter. As a result, authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts, which will be executed whenever a user accesses an affected page.
