Summary
CVE-2024-12207 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Toggles Shortcode and Widget plugin for WordPress. This issue, which impacts versions up to and including 1.14, allows authenticated attackers with administrator-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages of multi-site installations or installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the ‘content’ parameter. Successful exploitation enables attackers to execute scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
