Summary

CVE-2024-12177 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Ai Image Alt Text Generator for WP plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.0.2 are susceptible to this issue. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'page' parameter. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw by injecting arbitrary web scripts. Successful attacks require users to perform certain actions, such as clicking on a malicious link, enabling the attacker to execute malicious code in their browser.
