Summary

CVE-2024-12153 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the GDY Modular Content plugin for WordPress. This issue exists due to the plugin's use of add_query_arg function without proper escaping, leading to unescaped URL parameters. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can inject malicious scripts into pages of vulnerable WordPress installations. Successful exploitation requires tricking a user into clicking on a specially crafted link. Versions up to and including 0.9.91 are affected.
