Summary

CVE-2024-12128 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Simple Ecommerce Shopping Cart Plugin's Paypal integration for WordPress. Versions up to and including 3.1.2 are susceptible to this issue. Attackers can exploit insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'monthly_sales_current_year' parameter, enabling them to inject arbitrary web scripts. Unauthenticated attackers may successfully trick users into executing these scripts by creating malicious links, potentially leading to unintended actions or information disclosure.
