CVE-2024-12047 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Compress plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 6.30.03 are impacted by this issue. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the ‘custom_server’ parameter. This weakness enables unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, potentially tricking users into executing malicious code by clicking on a link.
