Summary
CVE-2024-12037 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the "Post Form – Registration Form – Profile Forms for User Submissions" plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 2.8.13 and below, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'bf_new_submission_link' shortcode. Consequences of exploitation include the execution of malicious scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
