Summary

CVE-2024-12031 is a vulnerability affecting the Advanced Floating Content plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 3.8.2, enables authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to carry out SQL Injection attacks. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient escaping of user-supplied data and lack of sufficient preparation of SQL queries within the 'floating_content_duplicate_post' function. As a result, attackers can append additional SQL queries to existing ones, potentially extracting sensitive information from the database.
