Summary
CVE-2024-11975 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Reactflow Visitor Recording and Heatmaps plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.0.10 are susceptible to this issue. The vulnerability arises from missing or incorrect nonce validation for the _wpnonce parameter. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can inject malicious web scripts into a site by tricking administrators into performing specific actions, such as clicking on a malicious link. This poses a significant threat to WordPress sites using the affected plugin, as it allows attackers to bypass authentication and gain control over user sessions. Site administrators are strongly advised to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
