Summary

CVE-2024-11925 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the JobSearch WP Job Board plugin for WordPress. Versions up to 2.6.7 are impacted by this issue. The vulnerability arises due to the plugin's failure to adequately verify user identity during email address verification, using the user_account_activation function. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can exploit this weakness to log in as any user, including administrators, when an email address associated with an account is known.
