CVE-2024-11906

Summary

CVE-2024-11906 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the TPG Get Posts plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 3.6.5 and below, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'tpg_get_posts' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts, which will be executed whenever a user views an injected page. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it enables attackers to steal user information, manipulate content, or even take control of affected websites.
