Summary
CVE-2024-11906 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the TPG Get Posts plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 3.6.5 and below, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'tpg_get_posts' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts, which will be executed whenever a user views an injected page. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it enables attackers to steal user information, manipulate content, or even take control of affected websites. Users are strongly advised to update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this threat.
