Summary

CVE-2024-11901 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the PowerBI Embed Reports plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's 'MO_API_POWER_BI' shortcode, which does not adequately sanitize or escape user-supplied attributes. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. When a user accesses an injected page, the scripts will execute, potentially leading to unauthorized data access or other malicious activities. Versions up to and including 1.1.7 are vulnerable.
