Summary

CVE-2024-11887 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Geo Content plugin for WordPress. This issue, which exists in all versions up to 6.0, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'geotargetlygeocontent' shortcode. As a result, whenever a user accesses an injected page, the malicious scripts will execute.
