Details
Summary
CVE-2024-11886 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Contact Form and Calls To Action plugin by vcita for WordPress. The issue, present in all versions up to 2.7.1, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'vCitaMeetingScheduler' shortcode. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation could lead to unintended website functionality, information disclosure, or even user compromise. It is strongly recommended that users update to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
