CVE-2024-11881 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Easy Waveform Player plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 1.2.0 and below, enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into pages via the plugin's 'easywaveformplayer' shortcode. The lack of proper input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes allows these scripts to execute each time a user accesses an injected page.
