Summary

CVE-2024-11864 is a newly identified vulnerability that affects SCP (Secure Copy Protocol) servers running SCP-Firmware releases up to and including 2.15.0. Maliciously crafted SCMI (System Control Message Interface) messages can induce a Usage Fault, resulting in a crash of the affected SCP. This vulnerability poses a risk for denial-of-service attacks and potential system compromise if exploited successfully. Users are strongly advised to update their SCP-Firmware to a patched version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
