Summary
CVE-2024-11863 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting SCP (Secure Copy Protocol) servers running SCP-Firmware release versions up to and including 2.15.0. Maliciously crafted SCMI (System Call Message Interface) messages can trigger a Usage Fault, resulting in the SCP crashing. This issue could potentially be exploited for denial-of-service attacks or other malicious purposes. It is recommended that affected organizations upgrade to a newer version of SCP-Firmware to mitigate this risk.
