Summary

CVE-2024-11826 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Quill Forms plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 3.10.0 and below, allows contributor-level attackers and above to inject malicious scripts into the 'quillforms-popup' shortcode. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses a page containing the injected code, posing a serious security risk. Despite insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, Quill Forms is a popular alternative to Typeform for creating conversational multi-step forms, surveys, quizzes, cost estimations, and donation forms on WordPress websites. It is crucial for users to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this vulnerability.
