Summary

CVE-2024-11823 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Folder Gallery plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's 'foldergallery' shortcode, which fails to adequately sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts into pages. The scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an infected page. The vulnerability impacts all versions of the plugin up to, and including, 1.7.4.
