Summary

CVE-2024-11814 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Additional Custom Order Status plugin for WordPress in versions up to 1.6.0. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this issue by injecting arbitrary web scripts into pages through the wfwp_wcos_delete_finished, wfwp_wcos_delete_fallback_finished, wfwp_wcos_delete_fallback_orders_updated, and wfwp_wcos_delete_fallback_status parameters. This vulnerability arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, enabling attackers to trick users into performing actions that execute the injected scripts. Successful exploitation could lead to data theft, unauthorized access, or site defacement. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this risk.
