Summary

CVE-2024-11788: The StreamWeasels YouTube Integration plugin for WordPress contains a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This issue affects all versions up to and including 1.3.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'sw-youtube-embed' shortcode. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This poses a significant risk for websites using this plugin, and it is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version or disable the plugin until a patch is released.
