Summary

CVE-2024-11779 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WIP WooCarousel Lite plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 1.1.6 and below, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'wip_woocarousel_products_carousel' shortcode. Successful exploitation results in the injection of malicious scripts that execute whenever an injected page is accessed.
