Summary
CVE-2024-11777 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Sell Media plugin for WordPress. This issue exists in all versions up to and including 2.5.8.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'sell_media_search_form_gutenberg' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can inject arbitrary web scripts. Once executed, these scripts can manipulate and steal user data or take control of the affected WordPress site.
