Summary

CVE-2024-11777 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Sell Media plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to and including 2.5.8.5, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'sell_media_search_form_gutenberg' shortcode. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
