Summary

CVE-2024-11775: A critical vulnerability affects the Particle Background plugin for WordPress. The issue, which exists in all versions up to 1.0.2, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to execute arbitrary web scripts. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'particleground' shortcode. By exploiting this Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability, attackers can inject malicious code that will run whenever a user accesses an injected page.
