Summary
CVE-2024-11698 is a vulnerability affecting Firefox and Thunderbird versions prior to 133 and 128.5, respectively, on macOS. The flaw lies in the application's handling of fullscreen transitions, which could result in the browser getting stuck in fullscreen mode. This issue is triggered when a modal dialog is opened during a transition. Users cannot exit fullscreen mode using standard methods like "Esc" or right-click menus, leading to a disrupted browsing experience. Mac users on other operating systems are not affected by this vulnerability.
