CVE-2024-11689: A critical vulnerability affects the HQ Rental Software plugin for WordPress. This issue stems from the lack of proper nonce validation on the displaySettingsPage() function, leading to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this flaw by crafting malicious requests and tricking site administrators into executing them. Successful attacks can result in the updating of arbitrary options, potentially enabling privilege escalation. All versions up to and including 1.5.29 are impacted.
