CVE-2024-11688 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the LaTeX2HTML plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 2.5.5, arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Attackers can exploit this flaw by injecting malicious web scripts into pages through the 'ver' or 'date' parameters.
