Summary

CVE-2024-11644 is a vulnerability affecting the WP-SVG WordPress plugin up to version 0.9. This issue permits contributors and higher-level users to execute Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks due to the plugin's failure to validate and properly escape shortcode attributes before rendering them on a page or post where the shortcode is placed. This can lead to arbitrary code execution and potentially compromise the entire WordPress website. Users are strongly advised to update the plugin as soon as a patch is released to mitigate this risk.
