Summary

CVE-2024-11580 is a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Luxion KeyShot's ABC file parsing feature. An attacker can exploit this issue by supplying malicious data to the affected system, resulting in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current process. The vulnerability, identified as ZDI-CAN-23700, arises from insufficient validation of user-supplied data before copying it to a heap-buffer. User interaction is necessary to exploit this weakness, as it requires visiting a malicious page or opening a manipulated file.
