Summary

CVE-2024-11575 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting IrfanView, related to the software's handling of DXF files. The flaw arises due to insufficient validation of user-supplied data during file parsing, resulting in a memory corruption vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this issue by crafting a malicious DXF file and inducing the victim to open it or visit a malicious webpage. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
