Summary

CVE-2024-11568 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting IrfanView, which can be triggered by parsing DXF files with insufficient validation of user-supplied data. This results in an out-of-bounds read, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability, as the target must visit a malicious page or open a specially crafted file. The ZDI-CAN-24872 discovery preceded this public disclosure.
