CVE-2024-11427 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Catch Popup plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.4.4, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's 'catch-popup' shortcode. Successful exploitation enables the attacker's scripts to execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
