Summary

CVE-2024-11426 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the AutoListicle plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions 1.2.3 and below, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts through the 'auto-list-number' shortcode. The shortcoming lies in the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes, resulting in the execution of malicious scripts whenever an injected page is accessed.
