Summary

CVE-2024-11386 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the GatorMail SmartForms plugin for WordPress. This issue impacts versions up to and including 1.1.0, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'gatormailsmartform' shortcode. Successful exploitation results in the execution of arbitrary web scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
