CVE-2024-11385: A critical vulnerability affects the Pure CSS Circle Progress bar plugin for WordPress, impacting all versions up to 1.2. This issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to execute stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the 'circle_progress' shortcode. Consequently, attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
