Summary

CVE-2024-11333 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the HLS Player plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.0.10, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's 'hls_player' shortcode. Consequently, any page containing an injected shortcode will execute the malicious scripts whenever a user accesses it.
