Summary

CVE-2024-11279 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Schema App Structured Data plugin for WordPress. The flaw, present in all versions up to 2.2.4, stems from the plugin's use of add_query_arg without proper escaping on URLs. This weakness allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, potentially gaining control over user sessions or stealing sensitive information. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker only needs to trick a user into clicking a malicious link.
