Summary
CVE-2024-11226 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the FireCask Like & Share Button plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.2, allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. The 'width' parameter is the point of entry for this vulnerability, which arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Consequently, malicious scripts are stored and executed whenever a user accesses an injected page.
