Summary

CVE-2024-11199 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Rescue Shortcodes plugin for WordPress. The issue exists in the plugin's rescue_progressbar shortcode, found in all versions up to 2.9. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can exploit this vulnerability due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. As a result, they can inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
