Summary

CVE-2024-11198 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the GD Rating System plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 3.6.1, permits authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into pages. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient sanitization and output escaping of the ‘extra_class’ parameter. Consequently, any user who accesses an injected page will unwittingly execute the attacker's web scripts.
