Summary
CVE-2024-11196 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the Multi-column Tag Map plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 17.0.33, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or above to inject malicious web scripts via the plugin's mctagmap shortcode. The insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes enable the exploitation. Successful attacks can result in the execution of arbitrary scripts whenever a user accesses an injected page.
