Summary

CVE-2024-11192 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Spotify Play Button plugin for WordPress. The issue, present in all versions up to 2.11, stems from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will execute when an unsuspecting user visits an affected page.
