Summary

CVE-2024-11132 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Eventer plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 3.9.9, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within shortcodes. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above can inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, posing a significant security risk.
