Summary
CVE-2024-11093 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the SG Helper plugin for WordPress in version 1.0. This issue arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping during SVG file uploads. As a result, authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access can inject malicious web scripts into pages. These scripts will be executed whenever a user accesses the affected SVG file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unintended content being displayed or even site takeover. It is strongly advised to upgrade to the latest plugin version as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
