Summary
CVE-2024-10936 is a vulnerability affecting the String locator plugin for WordPress. The issue involves PHP Object Injection, which can be exploited via deserialization of untrusted input in the 'recursive_unserialize_replace' function. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object into the system. No Pop chain is known to be present in the vulnerable software, but if one exists via an additional plugin or theme, attackers could delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code. An administrator must perform a search and replace action to trigger the exploit.
