Summary

CVE-2024-11384 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Arena.IM – Live Blogging plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the plugin's 'arenablog' shortcode, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts. These scripts will be executed whenever a user views an injected page, posing a significant security risk. Versions of the plugin up to and including 0.3.0 are affected.
