Summary

CVE-2024-10855 is a vulnerability in the Sirv plugin for WordPress, specifically in the Image Optimizer, Resizer and CDN feature. This issue allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to delete arbitrary option values on WordPress sites. The sirv_upload_file_by_chunks() function is the culprit, featuring insufficient validation on the filename parameter. As a result, attackers can exploit this weakness to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 7.3.0.
