Summary
CVE-2024-10790 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Admin and Site Enhancements (ASE) plugin for WordPress. This issue, which impacts versions up to and including 7.5.1, arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping during SVG file uploads. Authenticated attackers with custom-level access and above can exploit this vulnerability by injecting arbitrary web scripts, which will then execute whenever a user accesses the SVG file. To take advantage of this flaw, the feature must be enabled and specific roles must be targeted.
