Summary
CVE-2024-10715 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the MapPress Maps for WordPress plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.94.1, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts into the plugin's Map block. Due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, these scripts are executed whenever a user accesses an injected page. This can lead to unintended website functionality, unauthorized data access, or even full takeover of the affected WordPress site.
